According to UpRoxx, the crime drama City Of Lies, starring Johnny Depp as an LAPD detective investigating the 1997 murder of Notorious B.I.G., has been pulled from the film?s anticipated Sept. 7 release. The controversial decision follows a July 9th lawsuit filed by the film?s location manager. The suit accuses Depp of assault and battery. Lawyers on both sides of the lawsuit are currently hashing out negotiations in an attempt to resolve the case. As of now, there is not an anticipated release date for the film.
