According to Comicbook.com, original 'Halloween' franchise producer Malek Akkad is hoping for a cameo from 'Star Trek' actor William Shatner. Shatner's face famously inspired the mask worn by masked murderer Michael Myers. When asked if Shatner has commented on his association with the horror movie character, Akkad answered, ?Not to me directly, and from what I hear he doesn?t really acknowledge it.? Akkad added, "In certain ways we?ve tried to reach out to him [to] maybe do an appearance." The new 'Halloween,' starring Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, and Andi Matichak, opens October 19.
