VIDEO : Christopher Robin Banned In China Amid Pooh Censorship

China has denied a release to the Disney family movie Christopher Robin amid a government ban on images depicting Winnie the Pooh. Though Christopher Robin seems like the most wholesome and innocent of movies, Screen Rant reports the reason for the film?s banning has nothing to do with the movie?s subject matter and everything to do with politics. Winnie the Pooh has become a symbol of resistance groups working against Chinese leader Xi Jinping and the Communist Party, and the Chinese government is clamping down on images depicting the character.
