VIDEO : Sunrise Animation Studios Think It Is Time For A Live-Action 'Gundam' Movie

Gundam is a franchise that has been around since 1979, and now it appears to be making a move to Hollywood.
According to ComicBook.com, the Mecha sci-fi franchise which was created by Sunrise animation studios has announced that it is now planning to make a live-action debut film.
When asked ?why now??, Sunrise president, Miyakawa Yasuo said:
Already, about 30-40% of Gundam products are sold abroad. Now, it is time to return to the North American market which Sunrise moved away from in recent years. To be able to enter that market, a live-action project feels necessary
No word yet on a release date for the scheduled film.
