Joe Manganiello played Peter Parker?s high school nemesis Flash Thompson in 2002?s ?Spider-Man.? But according to Comicbook.com, Manganiello first auditioned for the role of Peter Parker. The actor said Parker was the first role he screen tested for in L.A., right out of school. But he knew going in that if he got chosen as Parker someone even bigger would have to be Flash. When the casting director told him he was perfect for another role in the film he knew it was for Flash.
