The similarities between Alison Brie?s ?GLOW? character Zoya the Destroya and real-life WWE Hall of Famer Nikolai Volkoff are very noticable. According to SFgate,com, even though Brie?s fictional in-ring persona in the Netflix original show is a Russian villain, it wasn?t created with the late Volkoff in mind. According to Brie, she has "not based anything off of his work." She added that the research she does for G.L.O.W is specific to the show because the featured wrestling is different from mainstream wrestling.
