Just days after Fortnite released its latest weapon, the compact SMG, the gun had to be altered for being too overpowering. Screen Rant reports that the new gun is surprisingly fast, accurate, and strong, which allowed its wielder to decimate opposing players and their buildings. This made the in game matches less about skill and more about who reached the SMG first. After an outcry from players, developer Epic Games has responded by reducing the accuracy, damage, and fire rate of the new weapon.
