SFGate reports Discovery Inc. may become a part of the consolation trend occuring in the entertainment industry. For instance, Disney and Comcast have been fighting over the rights to Fox for several months. CEO David Zaslav told the press, ?I wish I knew how all the chips are going to fall... We?ve placed a lot of chips as bets in areas in the field that most of our competitors haven?t.? Zaslav has experience in consolidation. His company Scripps Networks Interactive sold it's rights to HGTV, Food Network, and Cooking Channel to the Discovery Channel.
