Nevermind the L.A. Lakers, LeBron James is coming to HBO.
The network has picked up ?The Shop,? which first debuted in 2016 on the NBA star?s Uninterrupted website. The first episode to air on HBO will feature Snoop Dogg and premiere on Tuesday, Aug. 28 at 11 p.m.
Other guests expected on the series are the New York Giants? wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara, Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green, Los Angeles Sparks star Candace Parker and Jon Stewart.
??The Shop? is exactly why we created Uninterrupted,? James said in a press release Thursday. ?Anyone who has been in a real barbershop, like the ones where I grew up, knows why this show can be so incredible. I?m really excited HBO believed in our idea and is helping us create something special.?
Executive vice president of HBO Sports Peter Nelson said that the show is about sharing different points of view.
?LeBron James told us he wanted to create a place where athletes and artists can come together to share points of view freely,? Nelson said. ?We are honored they want HBO to be the home of that conversation. We are pleased to partner with LeBron, Maverick Carter and Uninterrupted on ?The Shop.'?
The series aims to capture the spirited and free-flowing conversation often found in barbershops, and will visit different barbershops around the country. In the clip above, Snoop Dogg opens up about coming up in West Coast rap.
James will executive produce with Maverick Carter, Nelson and Rick Bernstein; Bentley Weiner will serve as supervising producer.
