According to comicbook.com, ?Venom' director Ruben Fleischer has plans for sequels. Fleischer says the upcoming movie ?lays groundwork? for different directions the franchise could go. He then adds, ?I hope people will stay and see what seeds have been planted." Venom, which stars Tom Hardy in the titular role, is set for release on October 5, 2018.
