Lena Waithe has signed a first-look deal with Showtime.
The writer-actress' drama The Chi currently airs on the network.
Broadcastingcable.com reports Waithe will work with Showtime on comedy and drama projects.
Waithe writes and produces through her company Hillman Grad Productions.
