Every year there is an event in Norfolk, eastern England, there is a world snail racing championship. According to Reuters, in this annual event more than 150 snails race to win the big prize. The prize is of course a silver tankard stuffed with lettuce leaves. One of the racers said they take the competition very seriously. He said: ?We have got training slopes. We look at diet, we are drug compliant as well. It is the whole thing when you look at elite sports.?
