VIDEO : Robert De Niro Reportedly In Talks To Join Todd Phillips' ?Joker? Movie

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Robert De Niro may be joining actor Joaquin Phoenix and writer/director Todd Phillips' officially titled Joker standalone film set to take place in Gotham City during the ?80s. According to a THR exclusive, while De Niro hasn't officially signed on to the project, the legendary actor ?is in negotiations? to join the film. Uproxx reports that the lower budget, darker film has now been given an official release date, just ahead of next Halloween, on October 4th, 2019.
