Jacqueline Lee Bouvier, better known as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, was born on July 28, 1929. When it comes to American history, she's remembered as one of the most iconic, influential, and admired First Ladies. Onassis is regarded for her poise, style, and intelligence, but according to Business Insider, there remain some lesser known facts about the former first lady. She was an accomplished equestrian by the time she was 11 years old. She also had a lifelong passion for the arts and architecture. She even led numerous successful campaigns to preserve and restore historic landmarks and architecture. Her first job out of college was as a journalist and later in life she wrote a weekly newspaper column called "Campaign Wife" while she was pregnant at home during JFK's 1960 presidential campaign. She met JFK, then a congressman from Massachusetts, at a dinner party in Georgetown, and the two reportedly hit it off immediately.
