VIDEO : Robert Zemeckis 'Back to the Future' Clarifies If The Franchise Will Continue

According to a report by Comicbook.com, director Robert Zemeckis said that there will 'never' be another installment of the Back to the Future franchise after star Christopher Lloyd said that he would be open to returning as Doc Brown in a sequel or reboot. While speaking at the 30th anniversary of the 1985 original film in 2015, Zemeckis said that a Back to the Future remake "can't happen until both Bob and I are dead." In a time of abundant reboots, remakes, and spin-offs, Zemeckis said, "It?s like saying ?Let?s remake Citizen Kane. Who are we going to get to play Kane?? What folly, what insanity is that? Why would anyone do that??
