According to Comicbook.com. Tom Hardy's 'Venom' movie is confirmed not to be apart of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film just got a new featured spread in Entertainment Weekly along with the caption, "Venom is the first of Sony?s new films based on characters from the Spider-Man comics, although it?s a separate world from last year?s Spider-Man: Homecoming." The blurb echoes what hardcore Marvel movie fans have been predicting ever since 'Venom' was in production. Even though Marvel Studios has also said the same thing, fans still held out hope it was all a ruse.
