On Friday Rolling Stone reported that Harvey Weinstein finally broke his silence after a few months of staying quiet.
The Hollywood film producer has not made many public statements since he was
accused by dozens of women, including actresses of of sexual assault and misconduct.
He recently gave columnist Panagiotis ?Taki? Theodoracopulos an "exclusive" interview for The Spectator.
Weinstein reportedly admitted, ?Yes, I did offer them acting jobs in exchange for sex, but so did and still does everyone ... But I never, ever forced myself on a single woman.?
He also allegedly came up with an excuse for his behavior adding, ?I was born poor, ugly, Jewish and had to fight all my life to get somewhere ... You got lotsa girls, no girl looked at me until I made it big in Hollywood. ?
But Rolling Stone also reports that following Weinstein's interview, his reps and Taki said that he was actually misquoted...And that Weinstein actually wasn't being interviewed it was simply a ?a social meeting between old friends."
Weinstein?s lawyer Ben Brafman said, M"r. Weinstein never said anything about trading movie roles for sexual favors. You have my word that Harvey did not say that.?
