Joss Whedon is making his return to TV. The 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' creator is technically a co-creator on 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' but otherwise it's been nearly a decade since his last show, 'Dollhouse' ended. UpRoxx reports that Whedon's new high-concept series has landed a straight-to-series order from HBO. The Hollywood Reporter describes "The Nevers" ?as an epic science fiction drama about a gang of Victorian women who find themselves with unusual abilities, relentless enemies and a mission that might change the world.? Whedon will write, direct, and produce, and serve as showrunner. Whedon said, ?I honestly couldn?t be more excited. The Nevers is maybe the most ambitious narrative I?ve created, and I can?t imagine a better home for it than HBO."
