Nicki Minaj shared photos from her cover shoot with Harper?s Bazaar Russia.
She will appear on the magazine's August 2018 cover.
Jonathan wrote, "What?s good @nickiminaj, this should?ve been a hard pass.?
Why?
The reality star called out Russia's anti-LGBTQIA propaganda laws and Chechnya?s treatment of LGBTQIA people.
According to the Huffington Post, Russia's laws include "a total ban on the gay rights movement and any public expression of the culture."
Although Nicki Minaj did not respond to his comment, some fans responded. The Huffington post summed up their responses by saying, "Russian citizens are different from the Russian government and that they deserve to see musicians they enjoy on their magazines."
