Digital Trends reports the upcoming Fast and Furious spinoff film, Hobbs and Shaw, will star British actor Idris Elba. He'll play the evil counterpart to protagonists Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham. Despite spanning eight films over 17 years, Hobbs and Shaw is notable because it?s the first spinoff film for the Fast and Furious franchise. Hobbs and Shaw will see a team-up between one of the series biggest characters--Luke Hobbs, played by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson--and the most disliked villain--Deckard Shaw, played by Jason Statham.
