Scarlett Johansson is once again at the center of a Hollywood casting controversy. In 2016 there was justifiable backlash after the actress was cast as a Japanese character in the film "Ghost in the Shell,". According to CNN, now Johansson is set to star in "Rub & Tug" as Dante "Tex" Gill, a trans man known for running a string of massage parlors in Pittsburgh in the 1970s and 1980s. Transgender roles in movies and TV are rare and typically non-transgender actors are cast in those roles.
