According to Sfgate, Miles Teller has been tapped to star in 'Top Gun: Maverick' as the son of Anthony Edwards' character Goose from the original movie. Sources say Teller beat out other young stars, including Nicholas Hoult and Glen Powell, to land the role. The sequel to the 1986 blockbuster movie will see Tom Cruise?s aviator Pete ?Maverick? Mitchell become a mentor to a new generation of U.S. Navy fighter pilots.
