According to a report by Comicbook.com, the current Star Trek film cast may be teaming up with Quentin Tarantino for his upcoming Star Trek film. The current cast's Spock, Zachary Quinto, said on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, "My understanding is Quentin had this idea and they were shaping it and forming it and he is off to do his Manson movie. And it would be after that, that we would go maybe do one with him. Which is pretty exciting, pretty cool.? However, comicbook.com point outs that at this point everything is just speculation and Paramount hasn't confirmed who will be involved in the film. In the meantime, the crew of the Enterprise is focused on SJ Clarkson's Star Trek 4, currently in pre-production with no official release date.
