Sony's Marvel Universe has cast the role of Morbius. Comicbook.com reports that Jared Leto will play the the tragic antihero Michael Morbius in Sony's upcoming Spider-Man spinoff. Filmmaker Daniel Espinosa will direct the feature. In the Marvel Comics universe, Morbius is a scientist who tries to cure to his rare blood disease and ends up with characteristics of a mythical vampire. Leto played the Joker in DC Films' 'Suicide Squad.'
