On Wednesday, Walt Disney Co got an OK from the U.S. Justice Department to purchase Twenty-First Century Fox Inc entertainment assets.
According to Reuters, Disney will pay $71.3 billion to Fox. The deal also requires them to sell Fox?s 22 regional sports networks, which will give The Mouse House an edge over Comcast Corp?s competing bid.
Disney and Comcast are in a bidding war to get Fox movie franchises and TV shows.
The deal excludes Disney or Comcast from owning Fox News, Fox Business or Fox Sports network.
It does include Fox?s Hulu stake, FX Networks, National Geographic and over 300 international channels.
