Recep Tayyip Erdogan is Turkey?s long-time leader.
It looks like he will stay in power a lot longer.
FiveThirtyEight.com is reporting that Erdogan has declared victory in the presidential election in Turkey.
Erdogen's opposition claimed that it was too early to determine the outcome.
As of Sunday evening Erdogan had 53 percent of the vote.
Turkey?s president will enjoy ?considerable power? under a new constitution that is set to take effect after the election.
