Serena Williams doesn't shy away from talking about money. The tennis legend has been open about pursuing financial opportunities outside tennis, and now, according to Huffington Post, she?s urging others to challenge the taboo around talking about finances. Williams is participating in an Allstate Foundation Purple Purse campaign to raise awareness about financial abuse. Williams said, "1 in 4 women are affected by domestic abuse and 99 percent of that number are affected by financial abuse." Williams said the best financial advice she ever received came from Oprah Winfrey. Oprah told her "to watch every dollar that you spend." Williams revealed that "to this day" she still does that.
