Disney's new $71 billion deal bid for 20th Century Fox squashed Comcast's previous bid of $60 billion in cash.
According to Comicbook.com on Wednesday, a new report suggests that good news may be on the horizon for the Mouse House.
In 2 weeks, the U.S. Justice Department could sign off on the deal.
Comicbook.com adds, "Disney is also willing to see some assets to address issues of competition problems that concern regulators."
Although Disney's first bid of $51 billion in stock was OK'd by Fox shareholders in early 2018, Comcast counter-offered with $60 billion in cash.
Some thought that Comcast would counter Disney's new $71 billion dollar proposal, but reports say "with federal approval imminent it could be a moot point."
