Screenrant says rumors have surfaced of at least a half dozen more characters are coming...
to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch.
Unveiled by Nintendo at E3, the latest installment in the series will bring together at least 68 fighters,
including a few new additions such as Metroid's Ridley, Daisy, and the Inklings from Splatoon.
The new game will feature every character in franchise history.
Based on the high number of new characters each new installment adds to the Super Smash Bros. roster,
it may not seem all that surprising that a half dozen characters are coming to Ultimate.
What many found questionable about this rumor was that Nintendo had made clear in the past that Ridley was too big for a Smash title.
The identities of the other new characters are open to speculation.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launches December 7, 2018 for the Nintendo Switch.
