According to SFGate, Kyra Sedgwick is making her debut as a director with ?Story of a Girl.? The film is about a family not ready to deal with their teenage daughter?s transition into womanhood. Sedgwick said she wanted to create a movie that showed what teenagers are actually going through. She said: ?We need to see ourselves reflected back from the film and TV we see and the music we listen to.? While pitching the film Sedgwick experienced a lot of resistance from Hollywood.
