THR reports that Leah Remini is moving from CBS to Fox.
The actress has been tapped to star in Fox's untitled Middle America family comedy. It comes from the team behind It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Picked up with an off-cycle pilot order in May, the untitled comedy revolves around a woman, her ex-husband and her new wife. They all work together to raise a family in middle America.
Remini will play Jean. The character considers herself a patriot who loves her country and firmly believes in everyone?s right to be left alone. Jean in many ways fits the stereotype of a typical conservative. However, she leads a very progressive lifestyle as she is now married to a woman.
