According to comicbook.com, Ewan McGregor has been cast to star in the movie adaptation of Stephen King's sequel to 'The Shining - 'Doctor Sleep'. In the movie, which hits theatres in 2020, McGregor will play the adult version of Danny Torrance. 'Doctor Sleep' sees Torrance working at a nursing home in a quiet New Hampshire town where his remnant 'shining' power provides the crucial final comfort to the dying. Aided by a prescient cat, he becomes 'Doctor Sleep.' Torrance then meets an enigmatic women whose own 'shining' power reignites his own demons and summons him to a battle for her "soul and survival."
