ScreenRant reports that director Ron Howard made significant changes to the Kessel Run during "Solo: A Star Wars Story" reshoots. The fan-favorite action sequence gives context to one of Han's famous stories from the original trilogy, which is that he completed the run in less than 12 parsecs. The majority of 'Solo' was shot before Howard became involved, due to the firing of original directors Phil Lord & Chris Miller.
