Since then, the franchise has been on what most fans would agree is a steady decline.
But the new entry hopes to correct all the missteps of the beloved franchise.
Directed by David Gordon Green, 2018's Halloween will be direct sequel to the original.
It will bring back Jamie Lee Curtis' character of Laurie Strode.
