Mindy Kaling served up major style on the red carpet on Tuesday, June 5.
The actress, comedian and new mom made an appearance at the world premiere of her latest film, Ocean?s 8, in New York City.
According to Us Weekly, Mindy's gorgeous look was inspired by "the Met Ball heist that takes place in the film."
Layering was the secret for celebrity makeup artist, Janice Ginjo. She not only layered Mindy's eye shadow to create a smokey palette but also created a lipstick cocktail.
She adds, "Generation G in Jam as the base, brightened with Gen G Crush dabbed on top and finished with a touch of the Glossier lip gloss for sheen at the center of her pout."
But Kaling's hair and makeup had to be cut short.
Ginjo revealed that there was a wardrobe malfunction and Kaling was sewn into her gown at the last minute.
