Widows unites four women through one common bond, lingering debt from a failed heist by their husbands. The film stars Viola Davis, Michelle Rodriguez, Elizabeth Debicki, and Cynthia Erivo. The four embark on a dangerous mission that threatens to further rip apart their respective families. The end result look like a thematically heavy heist film with action aplenty. Although a heist film stands as a departure from McQueen?s past body of work, he can generally do no wrong. With a story set in contemporary Chicago, there is sure to be some social commentary.
