Garrett Yrigoyen earned the first impression rose on the new season of The Bachelorette. Yrigoyen has since been found to have ?liked? hurtful and offensive memes on Instagram. The 29 year old was found to have liked posts that fat shamed women, mocked transgender people and immigrants. He also ?liked? memes that doubted the testimony of Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg. Garrett Yrigoyen deleted his Instagram and issued an apology after the week-long social media scandal. "I am sorry to those who I offended, and I also take full responsibility for my 'likes' on Instagram that were hurtful and offensive. I am not perfect, and I will never be anywhere close, but now I will always be more informed and aware of what I am liking and supporting, not just on Instagram, but in life." The Bachelorette Becca Kufrin responded to the scandal saying "everyone is entitled to their own opinions."
