Spawn tells the story of a CIA operative named Albert Simmons.
He is betrayed and murdered by his own friend and colleague.
He's sentenced to Hell on account of killing innocents for the US government.
He ultimately sells his soul in exchange for the opportunity to see his wife one last time.
He is transformed into a demonic creature - hellbent antihero.
