Season 9 of The Walking Dead will be the last for Rick Grimes actor Andrew Lincoln.
Collider originally reported that Lincoln will be exiting the AMC series in its 9th season
which is currently in production, and ComicBook.com confirmed it from multiple independent sources.
Furthermore, several other cast members are in their final contracted years,
though their fate with the AMC series is up in the air.
Among them is Black Panther breakout Danai Gurira, who has played Michonne since season three.
Lauren Cohan's fate is also unknown as her current contract for Season 9 is only for 6 total episodes.
How Lincoln exits the series in unknown but he is expected to be gone before Season 9's finale.
