Ever since Lucy Liu became a household name by playing Ling Woo on Ally McBeal 20 years ago, she has stuck to her signature long, black hair.

People reports that Lucy Liu appeared Monday at the Obie Awards, an event honoring Off-Broadway and Off-Off-Broadway theatre productions, sporting a breathtaking warm, sandy blonde hair color.
Liu was seen with her usual dark hair as recently as May 2, when she attended the Build Series at Build Studio.
Unless the character she has played on Elementary since 2012, Dr. Joan Watson, is planning a major makeover of her own, it's probably safe to assume we'll see Liu return to her more familiar color soon.
