Han Solo was originally going to be introduced in the Star Wars prequels, Revenge Of The Sith.
George Lucas wanted to show a young Han Solo as a way to bridge the prequel trilogy and the original trilogy.
Han Solo would have appeared as a 10-year-old child being raised by Chewbacca the planet Kashyyyk.
In Lucas' original Revenge of the Sith script, 10-year-old Han would have presented a broken transmitter to Yoda.
The Wookiees would have traced that back to its source to find General Grievous.
