VIDEO : Miss USA Is Re-branding Post-Trump

Celebrity in this news:

If you watched the Miss USA competition last weekend, you probably noticed some changes. In the 65-year run of the show, a Black scientist won the crown for the very first time.
The other finalist was a feminist, Indian-American immigrant, not the show's status quo. But it's an attempt at moving forward after a scandal with the show's previous owner, Donald Trump.
According to Paula Shugart, president of the Miss Universe organization, "We?re so much better than we were before,"
Trump had control over the pageant for nearly 20 years, and it took 38 years for a woman of color to win Miss USA.
Some contestants hope this year will dismantle many of the stereotypes, while others are unsure if feminism belongs where the high heels and bikinis roam. But it is a step in the right direction.
