According to a report by Reuters, young British cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason was projected into global fame on Saturday, when he was heard by millions of people playing at the Royal Wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. The 19 year-old from Nottingham was asked by the Princess of Sussex personally to perform. Reuters reports that Kanneh-Mason is already well-known in the UK, where he was voted BBC Young Musician in 2016 and made it to the top of the classical music charts with his debut album 'Inspiration.' Kanneh-Mason played three pieces accompanied by an orchestra: ?Apres un Reve? by French composer Gabriel Faure, ?Sicilienne? by Maria Theresia von Paradis as well as Schubert?s ?Ave Maria?.
