In this week's episode of 'Saturday Night Live' the cast and writers tried to pay tribute to their mother's without getting political, but they failed. According to nbcnews.com, "The show tried to take a step back from politics with a cold open celebrating Mother's Day..." The joke of the cold open was that each mother criticized how the show handles politics. Including the concept that the show is criticizing President Donald Trump too much.
