'Saturday Night Live' threw out plenty of 'The Handmaid's Tale' inspired jokes with a sketch that compared it to 'Sex and the City'. Amy Schumer hosted this weekend and her style of humor helped them successfully compare the themes of the post-apocalyptic show with the US's current political climate. The comedy came from them interpreting the dramatic circumstance women face in 'The Handsmaid's Tale' as everyday life, like they would in 'Sex and the City.
