VIDEO : ABC Passes On Reboot Of ?Greatest American Hero?

ABC has passed on a reboot of 1980s TV show 'Greatest American Superhero' starring 'New Girl' actress Hannah Simone. On the program, Simone was to play Meera, a young Indian-American woman who is gifted with a super-suit by aliens and is then charged with protecting earth from harm. In a tweet this week, Simone confirmed the cancellation, writing, "We just found out that network tv isn't ready for the first brown female superhero on tv. The Greatest American Hero won't be on @ABCNetwork this fall and our hearts are broken."
