It looks like 'The Exorcist' got cancelled before it was able to give audience it's third season. Jeremy Slater, an executive producer on the show, however, still knows what direction he wanted to take the series if they had been given a third season. Slater told the press, 'Part of the story in Season 3 would be Marcus having to use his connections to this religious underworld to track down his missing partner... He can't necessarily trust the Church anymore, because it's been compromised.
