VIDEO : Spotify Axes R. Kelly Songs From Its Playlists

Spotify, the largest music streaming provider nationally is planning to delete R. Kelly's music from its playlists.
On Thursday the company called the move "part of a new hate content and hateful conduct policy."
Spotify explained, "We don't censor content because of an artist's or creator's behavior, but we want our editorial decisions ? what we choose to program ? to reflect our values ... Our policy at this time is to not actively promote artists we feel are not in line with our values."
Spotify did not announce the names of other artists that they may be cutting.
R. Kelly's catalog will still be available to hear on Spotify, but the service won't "actively promote" his music.
The Grammy award winning musician has been linked to multiple sexual assault and coercion allegations over the past twenty years.
His alleged misconduct was recently publicized with the growth of the #MeToo and #MuteRKelly social media movements.
R. Kelly's management called Spotify's decision, "without merit."
They added, ""It is acting based on false and unproven allegations. It is bowing to social media fads and picking sides in a fame-seeking dispute over matters that have nothing to do with serving customers."
