Fans of 'Santa Clarita Diet' are excited, because Netflix is renewing the show for a third season. According to the Hollywood Reporter, "Season two premiered in March and revealed the source of the zombie outbreak, with show runner Victor Fresco telling THR in April that the writers had already started work on a third cycle -- with their fingers crossed for a pickup . Fresco stated, "There's always more story. The whole season one took place over two weeks and season two takes place over two weeks, so they're still only about a month into this incredible change that they're going through."
