Netflix is currently in a feud with the Cannes Film Festival over day-to-day releases.
The streaming giant wants to buy movie theaters in L.A. and NY to show it's movies and docs.
Many think it goes against their business model, but Netflix is excluded from theater chains.
That means they have a harder time winning awards. Hence, their fight with the Cannes Film Festival.
